@chr i see it being good for DSA, but my endgoal is like, making physical communities more connected, with each cluster as its own instance, especially if theres heavy overlap between people either via visiting or living places, or working somewhere and living somewhere else

when i say 'federated island' i mean it in the same way we talk about hi-sec islands in eve -- a cluster of connected things disconnected from the rest of the 'verse

say i want something for a loosely organized group of friends but i want it to stay between friend groups on the whitelist, and not people in the extended fediverse. a federated island, with no external follows, is that possible, or just the never federating stuff?

and like, were i actually mourning i'd have like, a long-ass black dress and several crow friends on my person

today i was told i 'look like you are in mourning clothes, where's the funeral' because black tanktop and long black skirt, the only colors and fabrics that dont hurt me
