so are user level instance blocks a thing yet
@nire Yes, they are, I believe.
@TipsyTentacle in true open source fashion they're infintiely undiscoverable, then
@nire @TipsyTentacle hit the hamburger on a user's profile page and you'll get an option to hide everything from their instance
@rey @TipsyTentacle 'ta, unfortuantely that sounds like its just muting, not the equivalent of blocking everyone on it
@nire @TipsyTentacle yah, I dunno exactly what it does tbh, but it should achieve the "make them stop existing from your perspective" goal
@rey yes but the problem is that because of federated timeline, them poking my tweets as ~*~funny~*~ etc means it snowballs to instances i dont have muted?
@nire so basically, the added thing you want to do is have your toots not propagate to that instance as well?
@rey i mean what i would like is an option to basically go down the list and block every user, except, in a way my client can actually do
@rey because some instances have enough repeat offenders in my mentions that i might as well get rid of all of them
@nire yeah, i get you.... Honestly I'm not sure what exactly happens, but it's a start, eh? (See also the Authorized Followers settings page)
@rey i mean authorized follows isnt actually a start because it doesnt let you deauth entire servers until they follow you
@rey 'its a start; for almost year old issues is kind of not the right mindset?
@rey right same
@nire i could get this implemented in an FPGA by tomorrow night tho
@rey and if i did i can gaurantee you i'd be pushed back for various reasons in my bio and profile picture, and little for the other things
