i just want motion control games to support not-motion-controls well if they are like, not explicitly made for motion controls. see: splatoon wii u, which implimented not-motion very horribly
@nire I agree but am curious, what did you think was horrible? Forcing motion control in the tutorial and not telling you it's optional is my gripe, and Nintendo really needs to let users remap, but aside from that I had no issues.
@kevspace the not-motion-controls sensitivity was "too fast" or "turn like a boat" and nothing inbetween.
and then 9 more pips faster
@kevspace easy enough to just make the sensitivity scale btwn those two and their neighbors, but they didn't
@kevspace yeah but no game should feel like you're fighting the controls. and x being 180 turn helped
@kevspace yep same, my muscles have little endurance due to eds, must play with arms on lap or table
@nire I can relate. my mom is convinced I have eds and I'm starting to think I should add it to the long list of things to ask my doctor about the next time I can see her (soonest availability: July 18) because like... eventually my game night host will probably buy the game that's literally called ARMS

@kevspace if nothing else it's a way to get accommodations and be easier on yourself
but you might also find a lot of your other stuff is caused by it

I shouldn't let my unfortunate medical history (and uh, considerable debts) scare me from a potential better future life. even just having some of my other issues collapsible into one diagnosis (and acronym; people tend not to argue with an Initials Disease) could simplify things.
@nire yeah I definitely wouldn't have kept fighting them if I hadn't been so invested in the idea of the game. I've stopped expecting Nintendo to learn from the 'competition' and they often pretend they're intentionally uninterested unaware, but shooter controls are largely solved and standardized now. Motion is painful for me so I'm sad when a game seems to insist I'm doing it the "wrong way" by not hurting myself. I did plateau in ranked; subpar controls are probably a big reason.
