EVE is a good cinematic platform but not so great as a game

i wish there was more movies just about space combat

@Elizafox there is politics, intrigue, spy networks and last second saves, eve has literally everything for actual movies

its just bad at being a game

@nire Actually tbh trying to make a game like a movie leads to more tears than you'd expect.

The problem is movies are inherently on-rails and players expect games these days to.. not be.

Really trying to boil a movie down into a game usually winds up turning it into a visual novel, or it winds up sucking.
