lmao super not doing good today, among other things pain is pretty bad and I'm not sure if getting out of bed made it better or worse, the spikes of it are awful.
end of the month/beginning of the month are the worst, because these symptoms sure do get worse on a suspicious ~26-34 day cycle according to our journaling
@nire literally eating hormones somehow leaves yr cycles alone
@nire I'm gonna have to start recording when exactly I get weepy at everything even vaguely emotional. Pretty sure it's every few weeks.
@nire They... really don't have any basis for saying that.
@woozle yeah no im aware plenty of trans people on estrogen hrt have mysterious monthly cycles
@nire I have ups and downs but haven't tried putting them on a calendar, partly because I *always* (before HRT) had ups and downs, and I couldn't say for sure that what I'm experiencing now is significantly different -- except that that the emotional pressures I'm responding to are a bit different.
That said... it's all chemicals; it's not like ovaries have a 555 timer that sends out a ~20% duty-cycle square wave to the mood chip. <.<
@woozle nah im aware, though there is uterine action there.
the thing is that i *dont cycle my meds* and it happens, which is why they say its impossible :P
@woozle i only started noticing it because i was journaling my pain and realised my bad days were always at the beginning/end of months
@nire Well, they said heavier-than-air flight was impossible and the theory of plate tectonics was junk science.
It takes time for new ideas to make it into orthodoxy, even with solid evidence. :-/
@nire pms correlated maybe? have you ever tried prometrium
@nire mine definitely vary, I'm not sure how long the cycle length is and if it's regular though.
can't be hormonal amirite cause every doc says that's impossible for trans ppl lol
