OH! and I know container stuff really well, docker based stacks, including Kube. wanna do more kube as part of my job instead of just personal projects, would jump at a chance to do an implementation and rollout project.

after today, I'm pretty keen to get a new job. if you work for a company that's cool with remote workers, and think you could use someone who has the following senior level skills, please let me know:

- large scale systems architecture design, including scaling for ridiculous CCUs.
- salt, puppet, ansible, teraform.
- aws, google cloud.
- mysql, postgresql, hive, presto. dev and admin.
- big data pipeline design, ETL, storage, performance analysis and tuning.
- dev in Python, Go, Bash, and others.

was applying for a senior position at my current job, one that i have tons of really solid experience with and that i'd be a perfect fit for.

the team lead said they needed to backfill me on my current team, but that she wouldn't hire anyone else for the position.

the VP of Eng tells me something similar. only what I don't realize is that he's subtly breaking that promise.

because today at our weekly Eng meeting, they announce that team is the new engineering top priority, and they're stealing a bunch of people from other groups, and I'm not in that list.

feeling so unappreciated and undervalued and i don't wanna be here anymore. 😭
