@wxcafe @er1n @iliana yeah I did years of puppet. in general it works alright, but I found that their custom DSL is where all the bugs are, and damn were there some frustrating bugs over the years.

still. way more practically useful than ansible.

@pursuitofnerdiness oh yeah, that's an interesting specialization where there is still a lot of legacy code at big firms. that being said, the better work (such as libasl, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced) is all C/C++ these days. you're definitely not gonna be leveraging GPU compute capabilities in fortran. πŸ˜†
