holy hell this is a fucking disaster, from Intel, to everyone who uses them, which is pretty much everyone. guess I need to start looking at AMD's platform again, because this is a nightmare.

Our geospatial system leans on the CPU

@Cybertrash yeah, pretty sure everything we've got deploys onto Intel, and the performance hit is supposed to be worse on VMs, so it's gonna be a huge pain.

@Nine same CPU at home, same concerns now. damnit. oh well, at least AMD has shaped up their CPU game and started putting out decent stuff again.

between this and the IME debacle, I tell ya, Intel's burning a lot of trust.
