Anyone else seeing a million bot follows from friends.nico? should we think about blacklisting that domain?
@nergdron I've got some follows from there that I wasn't sure about.
@schonwiedersamstag yeah at first I thought it was just a few new accounts, but now it's been > 10 and they're all just following people and never tooting, so that feels like a bot wave.
@nergdron Not that much here. But I blocked the first few since one had in their profile that they were doing experiments with getting more followers ... and well I'm not here for that.
@schonwiedersamstag Yeah, me neither. If you care about followers, maybe mastodon isn't for you. 😉
@nergdron I actually appreciate it so much that boosts and stars aren't shown at first glance. Somehow that seems to lead to more actual interaction instead of just looking for popular posts.
@schonwiedersamstag Yeah! I love mastodon because of the actual, real community building, not artificial, distracting metrics. The people on here are so good and I actually wanna interact with them. 😁
@nergdron Yes, I don't even see it as a direct competition to my twitter feed (which has a lot of other functions). This is basically just meeting nice people on the internet 😃
