i suck at them. i've only ever had to break up with someone once, and it was terribly painful and didn't go well. however, i'm realizing i really should break up with someone i've been nominally dating over the internet for a long time. we never talk any more, we don't have much in common, and we live too far apart to ever see each other.

just makes me sad to even think about it. not sure what to do.
