@claire uh pick someone who's not? call the MST clinic in Oakland and ask them to recommend someone near you

@claire god you're on Kaiser and they're treating you that way? just change doctors, you can do it through the app even

@claire can you ask specific clarifying questions? I'm not sure what you're confused about. pp is like any other non-profit healthcare provider, you go there and see a doctor and get healthcare, and then they bill your insurance and you pay your copay, unless you don't have insurance or can't afford. your copay in which case they might not charge you it or might charge you less

@claire pp gets paid by your insurance and gets grants based partially on how many patients they treat, the scarcity mindset isn't really applicable here. your case is exactly what they exist for

@claire are they going to pay your copay or not?

@claire planned parenthood is used to providing healthcare for young women who are technically dependents but whose family is hostile to their healthcare needs :p

@claire it doesn't really matter what your estrogen levels are. they fluctuate wildly over the course of each day even if you're on injections but especially if you're on oral/sublingual. what's important is to keep your blood pressure and fasting lipid panel at nominal levels, and to be getting the psychological and physical effects you want out of your HRT doses.

this is the canonical best practices guide, if your doc is ever not doing what you need slap them with it: transhealth.ucsf.edu/trans?pag

@claire oh it's pretty easy, look up the nearest PP that does informed consent HRT. call and make an appointment for that. show up and fill out the intake form and then tell the doctor you've been on it for however long and what doses you need and they'll prescribe them.

@claire your endo sounds like an awful gatekeeper, have you considered just getting a script from Planned Parenthood? also you could just not take a tab the day you're getting tested, the halflife of estradiol in the blood is like, a few hours

@claire how could they stop you from dissolving them sublingually? (also, it's fucking borderline malpractice to prescribe them to be taken orally, that blatantly contradicts every best practices trans healthcare manual, for good reasons)

organize your workplace. organize your neighborhood. organize your church. organize your apartment. organize your classmates. organize your brunch club. there's not a landlord, banker, or boss in the world who can stand up to the collective power of the people. communism will win
