a few of my plants are sad and unhealthy (mostly just cuttings that didn't take well, in some cases they've been growing in bad light conditions and been overwatered for years and are just, not recoverable at this point) but i feel really awful about throwing them away because they are my babies :(

@noxy @morganastra @cyanaurora no, the idea that it's possible or desirable to somehow emulate and appease cis people, the idea that cis people are the ultimate arbiters of our genders, is self destructive and rife with internalized cissexism.

this is very different from changing our bodies to be more comfortable and alleviate dysphoria, which is necessary and healthy. don't conflate the two, they could not be more different in their effects on our mental health

@meena what does that have to do with "passing"? there is a universe between changing your body so you're more comfortable in it, and changing your body in sisyphean quest to emulate and appease cis people

@cyanaurora that's not really true. the idea that there are ways you can contort your body and your way of existing in it to change the way other people perceive your gender is both factually incorrect and incredibly psychically self-destructive
