estrogen makes me better at programming computers, pretty unambiguously

@morganastra It's been more ambiguous for me as far as coding, because I've been having focus issues in general -- but I do feel like it made my piano-playing substantially less shaky.

Lots of other unexpected benefits, too.

Rosa Astra @morganastra

@woozle yeah i notice a difference between beginning of cycle and end of cycle in a lot of things but focus is a big one

@morganastra I'm not on a cycle... I guess Science! would be one benefit of doing that.

(Henrietta my Head Squirrel in Charge of Gender says "noooo you can's't not take away any of the E! WILL FITE!" So between her and my endo/PCP, it's probably a moot point.)

@woozle my body has a ~1 month natural cycle, and i do estrogen injections every two weeks, so i get a little peak and a big peak each month

@morganastra Ahh. Makes me think of neap tide and spring tide. ^.^

I'm taking sublingual pills, 3x per day.

I've never noticed myself having any kind of cycle, before or after. Fascinating <raises eyebrow> how that works.

@woozle i only noticed it was cyclical when i started tracking mental indicators. lots of trans women have periods, it turns out

@morganastra One o' these days, I should try doing that. I've certainly thought about it.
