@cyrinsong i think yes but only if you cultivate ways to make things that *matter* to you also be fun. i have had prolonged expanses of time where i only did fun things but not things that mattered and always ended up feeling depressed and washed out at the end of them

@morganastra I think, I just, need to shift my (things that matter) / (fun ratio) hardcore in the fun direction

@cyrinsong but i don't think there's anything, like, morally wrong with it, it has just been unfulfilling in my experience.
that being said for our collective sake i kind of hope that everyone really sinks their teeth into doing at least some organizing work on an ongoing basis until we've built a sustainable socialist democracy. maybe i do think that is a moral or ethical mandate on some level, hm,
