firefox focus does exactly what a mobile browser should, including blocking ads and trackers https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/focus/
it integrates really well with the full-featured Firefox mobile for times you want to use the history and bookmark and tab sync features. but yeah it blocks ads very effectively, it loads bloated news sites faster than any other browser I've tried, and it gets creepy spyware corporations like google off your back (slightly). it's good
@Seipas you can, and I do. but with firefox focus you just get that automatically without having to do anything special, plus tracker blocking, plus automatically deleting history and clearing history on browser close, plus not keeping tons of tabs open. it's meant to be used in conjunction with a full-featured browser, for opening links from social media etc, and it works really well for that without requiring the user to think about it
@Seipas it does a lot more than private window mode does, but that's the basic concept yeah
@morganastra
Oh okay. Kinda like a "private window" on PC Firefox ?
I'm still horrified each time I discover that installing an adblocker isn't a reflex for everybody. x)
