hey remember this blue and black dress that freaked everyone out a few years ago?

@morae idk how that's even possible though to see white and gold i genuinely canot see it. like maybe the black can look gold but the blue definitely looks blue.

ok I flipped it a little, now it's sort of going back and forth between white-gold and blue-black.
vision is weird.

@morae yeah the animated pictures showing the different interpretations work for me for flipping them but i just can't see it on the original picture

It's the lighting. I immediately assume the dress is in shadow, making it look much darker than the background.
I can see that the white is tinged blue by whatever ambient light it's getting -- but I have a hard time seeing that as the actual color of the cloth.
Probably if I could get to that, then I'd see how the gold comes through as black.
