ok that's it no more spoons left for the next couple days

now my favourite colleague/best friend said she feels me and also isn't sure she's going, so I'll take that as a sign that it's ok to not go. I'll stay home for cuddle times.

@Amburu yeah... but also i don't wanna isolate myself from all social gatherings :/ I've already skipped uni a lot in the past weeks and i feel like I'm just not able to drag myself outside much at all. on the other hand, whenever i did go to social gatherings lately, i was just not feeling it and just wanting to go home all night.

kinda sucks because i already left last year's party (at anther company though) after an hour, and i also cancelled christmas class reunion last year, again something i always kinda look forward to. i just don't have the spoons for social gatherings. i want only chill friends over who lie and smoke weed with us

I've been looking forward to our office Christmas party because i like my colleagues
but now i don't wanna go to a thing where I'm gonna be stuck from 6 - 11:30pm where i don't even know what food were gonna get while i have both appetite and swallowing problems
especially while my girlfriend's aren't doing so well i just wanna cuddle matti all night and vc with Kendall
and also I'm hopefully gonna quit soon anyway
i just don't want any obligations and just lie at home tbh

@kathinka aaaaannnnd plus it sucks hard to get yelled at constantly because your brain literally won't work a certain way and you need to make yourself plan everything and more fake it than make it and nobody acts understanding about that, but as if you're lazy and a failure. and then you're supposed to tolerate it with people who CAN help it.

(which i know is basically exactly what you said but i had to repeat it bc i feel this on a deeper level tbh)

@kathinka I'm sorry blegh that's super frustrating.

it generally pisses me off a lot that nts are quick to attribute anything horrible/heartless/sadistic... etc to mental illness as if we can't help it, when we have to use coping mechanisms daily and are often wayyyy more self aware than them. it's hard to not function normally without constantly putting in extra effort, and then lots of nts won't even go those lengths when it comes easy to them.
