running as fast as you could your house. then sitting with granny and auntie and your little baby brother in a deafening silence, waiting.

that wall shaking, drum shattering noise, and then when it was over, the silence was broken: your auntie got up, and kissed you, and wished you a "light night" or sweet dreams, and then granny turned off the lights, and took you and your baby brother to bed

as it gets louder, and higher pitched you frantically start looking for it.

how easy they are to spot, and how utterly frozen you are.
