it's really easy to remember when International Men's Day is: it's roughly around that time of the year when women start working for free for the rest of the year (compared to their male colleagues)

in that sense, it's really fitting that International Men's Day is on the same day as International Toilet Day

i often add the disclaimer "in Western society" to my political or philosophical opinions because i grew up in austria. but i was born in Bosnia. i spent the first seven years of my life there, and then many more summers.

we have a word in Bosnian, "divaniti". it has the same root as the "long, cushioned seat," in the west. but we use it to say "chatting with your neighbour over coffee, for about four hours"
