Waaah, I want a cat but if I get one it will severely limit my ability to move to new homes...
@alexlaw I just miss playing/snuggling with them. Or having them wake me up like clockwork (preferable to an alarm anyway). But then I think about how I have a temp job and will probably move in the next few years. I want to leave the Bay Area at some pt and it would just be 100x more difficult with a pet.
@alexlaw a friend of mine moved from the bay to Portland with two cats
another from Portland to Europe
it's not impossible, but it's a little trickier
kinda like travelling with kids

@meena yeah, that’s why I want to move 😩 I’m hoping to find a permanent job and settle down somewhere else, then I’ll be more comfortable with a cat.
@meena for me it’s more that after my temp job ends my income won’t be stable, and I have very little in the way of a safety net. So there’s a possibility of me being homeless/couchsurfing for an extended period of time, and that’s the part where I hesitate at having a pet. Thanx for the encouragement tho
