i have this theory that culture, and cultural change travels across language lines

assimilation of culture is easier when you have grounds for understanding, otherwise you end up with a copy that looks like the original, but functions completely unexpectedly

transmutation, however is natural to the process. it happens more over distance (space/time), but most of all, for local context

finally, forcing culture, results in adoption thru least resistance (change), and unexpected side-effects.
