why do people not read my bio before following

when you listen to something called "pedal point blues" but you've got no idea as to whether it uses an actual pedal point or not

Hmm, I wonder what the origins of this day involving the waving of bright red banners are...

lol @ car nerds acting like they're just too enlightened to drive automatic

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
But leaves the greater villain loose
Who steals the common from off the goose

The law demands that we atone
When we take things we do not own
But leaves the lords and ladies fine
Who take things that are yours and mine

[...]

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common
And geese will still a common lack
Till they go and steal it back

lmao i just remembered the whole "hoisted" meme

when you press down hard enough to crunch whatever was under one of your keys, then you kinda wonder what on earth it actually was

maybe the real soylent green was the friends we made along the way

*thinks about how good the flemish giant rabbit is*

but like, vipgq is a great combo because it selects a paragraph and automatically wraps it to default 80 columns or whatever textwidth is set to. really handy for keeping everything at 72 cols.

which is a roundabout way of saying i'm a big dork who loves to use big words abt tech

hrm, might need to update the vim autoformatting rules for troff so i can just vipgq without it breaking citation macros by putting them in with text.

that's the second visible dent i've put in the drywall by accidentally hitting it with my thinkpad

idea: a zine about cute animals, each author gushes abt one for however many words they'd like

@puppy consider: painting your mole gf's claws with her fav color of nail polish

i'm re-discovering the magic of writing in a markup language, without running an entire massive piece of software augmented with packages

wow, refer(1) is so much easier than anything that TeX or LaTeX has. just running the file through a quick preprocessor once instead of like, five consecutive compilations to figure out numbering etc.
