i'm re-discovering the magic of writing in a markup language, without running an entire massive piece of software augmented with packages

wow, refer(1) is so much easier than anything that TeX or LaTeX has. just running the file through a quick preprocessor once instead of like, five consecutive compilations to figure out numbering etc.
