@mallaidh I assume at this point it's the capacitors in that case, because there is electricity going through the power switch that directly goes to mains power, along with a perfectly fine fuse, which I found out earlier.

In this case, time to get some capacitors and see if that helps it. Might as well after all since the thing's from 1985-6 or so.

@mallaidh The tube has been treated with care. I've been very cautious with most of the hardware inside since it's potentially full of high voltages.
