@mallaidh @Vann the only reason we need flash now is for the old zachtronics games, until they get made into something more current :p

@Vann @mallaidh when JS was first used it probably wasn't used for loading mb of data dynamically and the uptime of computers was probably lower.

with tabs being open for days or weeks on the same webapp memory issues make themselves somewhat known.

The issue is not Javascript, its the bad practices people have learned, taught to others and continued to use.

NodeJS and Electron allow people to continue using their bad practices elsewhere..

one thing that I've noticed MANY JS tutorials just talk about getting content, nothing about cleaning up for better memory management (setting things to null so the browser/engine can clean memory)
