considering learning the trumpet

y'all shader forge is so cool

i assumed i'd have to wait until i was actually 21 for people to start acting incredulous when i say i don't drink but it turns out they do it when you're 20, too

shit, my birthday is in exactly a month. this year has gone by absurdly fast for me.

i'm finally getting around to watching gbeast's new xcom series and it's so good

the giant beastcast will give me the courage to leave my room and investigate

never do i feel more like a very old person than when i glare through my blinds at some being loud in the street

someone rang my doorbell and i keep hearing weird noises which are probably just regular noises that i'm projecting malicious intent onto but nonetheless i'm freaking out how are you doing

working directly with mesh data can involve a lot of reading academic papers and let me tell you: engineers and computer scientists are not necessarily very good writers.

i know i'm about to Learn Some Shit when the first result for a search query i have is in pdf format

sometimes i think i should try and be nicer online, i don't know when i got so mean

it's hard for me to not assume bad faith whenever anyone talks to me, and it's also hard for me to not feel like on some level that's fundamentally the right assumption to have

the new lcd soundsystem album is really good

also, judging by my notifications, people who prefer video tutorials are in the vanishingly small minority compared to people who prefer text. not to say that your needs should go unaccounted for but like, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few (or the one).

i've seen a bunch of people respond to my posts about video tutorials saying that they like video tutorials or ideally there'd be a mix of video and text, and i totally agree.

my reasoning is that video tutorials are so easy to make that for any moderately popular software there will be dozens of half-decent video tutorials for you to use if you like those. i think official tutorials made as documentation should always be text because text is much easier to update/localize and much more accessible to more people, and text tutorials are much harder to make so it's harder to find user-made text tutorials if that's what you want.
