lighting is my arch nemesis
in general but also in this specific project, because it's hard to figure out how to light a planet in a satisfactory way
@bea yeah i had stars but 1. they mess with the design of the game and 2. i'm unsatisfied to a certain degree with the lighting they provide
@bea what I *want* is for it to look like it's daytime all around the planet, *with* shadows, like in super mario galaxy kinda, but the way i know how to do shadows depends on a specific directional light source.
basically i need to figure out how to do blob shadows, i think.
