i'm considering buying some like fancy nice earbuds because i break earbuds like every three weeks but i'm terrified that what'll happen is instead of spending $12 on earbuds that break in a month i'll have spent $100 on earbuds that'll break in a month
@lycaon FWIW, I've bought the Bose IE2 brand several times, and sent them through the washer multiple times without issue. Their lifespan is about seven years for my first pair, and still going for pairs two and three.
@PaulFerence i really hate the form factor of those? like i'm not a fan of earbuds made for running, they feel weird in my ears (and i don't run or even walk very frequently so i have no need)
@lycaon I like that they never come loose, and they come with four different sizes of ear piece, but what's important is your comfort.

update: i bit the bullet and bought some extremely sturdy looking earbuds so i could have them for when i go to new york. if they're bad you know i'll be bitching about it
