my fave is that speakers of spanish (where the word for "key" is feminine, "la llave") generally associate the word with words like "little" or "delicate" or "golden", while german speakers (where the word for "key" is masculine, "ein schlussel") associate it with words like "jagged", "hard" or "metal"
