@ambyrb well you aren't wrong there, especially since fandom under capitalism seems to push for forming identities based on what media we are able to own instead of being able to look at media with a level of appreciation beyond mere "ownership." Preorder culture, DLC that is mostly minor aesthetic adjustments, and the celebration of events like the "Steam Sale" all exemplify this.

@ambyrb I mean, I understand this. Fandumb often makes whole works or media seem unappealing. I guess you just have to figure out for yourself what it is you want out of a particular media form, especially as you move to a more "post-conventional fandom" stage of appreciating media. Figuring out what the "highlight reel" is is also important lest you find yourself wading through a bunch of garbage media.

Yes, I will probably bilingualize all my initial toots. I have the character space to do so, so why not? Replies will be monolingual or multilingual as the situation calls for it.

Coming here to witches.town reminded me of online pagan communities I used to be part of. It reminds me of happy memories, and gives me a sense of coming home again.
