i wonder if it's worthwhile to become invested enough to make a private account here so I can whine and mope. Like, that's the moment when I know I've truly settled in.
@persenche A cool thing about Mastodon is that you don't need to make a private account-- you can selectively set some posts to just be followeres-only, even if your default is public.
(I mean, you might still want it if you want to have a smaller follower's list for a private account, but Mastodon being what it is I'm guessing that'd be less of an issue here than it is on Twitter.)
@listelian i think the part I liked about having a private account is that it was opt-in for people who were interested in my mopeyness and sexytimes.
Not sure of an easy way to do that here without making a new account.
