PSA: If you are in the web view of a remote instance of some user or toot, you cannot directly reply/boost/fav.

But you can copypaste the URL into your local Mastodon server's "Search" field, then it allows you to interact!

i think it's telling that even with all the hiccups and people i miss on the birdpage i'm so in love with this site and the people on it. I imagine a lot of us feel that way and whether or not mastodon "succeeds" is such a weird question to me? It kind of already has.
