@shapiro it's been running just fine for a while now, it would seem (and since it's built on top of GNU social, i don't think dev is much of an issue in the long-term).

my impression is its core userbase is queer/trans folx and infosec (as you mention), but i think for the former group in particular, network saturation is less important than tight-knit communities of like-minded people—and with granular privacy controls to boot. i don't see longevity as the pertinent issue.

@sblaydes it's a thai coconut curry, and it's extremely delicious! here's a good starter recipe: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/member/views/thai-chicken-curry-with-pineapple-1209534. i put sauteed green pepper and onion in mine, with pan-fried tofu instead of chicken. i also add plenty of toasted spices in at the beginning with my (store-bought) curry paste.

@evilchili @Borogove not quite—the federated timeline is toots from any user anyone in your instance follows. your "home" feed is toots from anyone you follow. you can also switch the righthand stream to your local timeline, which is all toots from your instance (regardless of who within your instance you actually follow)
