Actually, that's got me thinking...
Do hashtags pull results from the federation when you click them, or do they just pull from the local timeline? That'd be a really significant difference in behavior, but I don't think I have a good way to test it yet.
@InspectorCaracal fairly certain they pull globally (or maybe federated results?)—i checked #diy and got 2 results, neither from witches.town
@linguangst I don't think anything pulls genuinely globally, so it must be from the federated timeline. Thanks! :grinning:
@InspectorCaracal one of the results was tooted by someone a witch follows... the other doesn't have any witches.town followers, but i suppose it's possible it was boosted by a witch? i can't figure out how to view the boosts/faves for toots not in my instance.
