@amphetamine I'm the touchstone against which other touchstones are measured

@amphetamine I speak only the objective truth

you know what's great? being warm and dry. being warm and dry is so great.

@distelfliege thank you! I've had various levels of success with a bunch of different systems, but they tend to work well for work stuff or life stuff but not both

@distelfliege cool, thanks! I looked at it ages ago and meant to do it (ofc) but never followed up. but maybe if I make a point of keeping it more about TODOs and less "diary-y" it would work for me....thanks!

@distelfliege @banjofox that does sound really appealing.....I find with journaling I can get a bit obsessive about feeling like I need to record *everything*, do you think that's a risk with bullet journaling too? or is it structured differently?

I found the part of youtube that has piano music and the video follows along on the sheet music, and I've never been so distracted

(that's a lie, but wow this is so great)

@distelfliege D: well if I ever learn german and am looking at knitting patterns I'll bear that in mind haha

@banjofox @distelfliege TODO #4121 -- put all my lists of interesting things to do in one freaking place instead of scattered across 10 different notebooks, pieces of paper, and .txt files -_-

@distelfliege that seems like...not the best one to start with?? simple in one sense but idk with beginner stuff having a finished product that is actually somewhat usable is so important! arg

@distelfliege yeah that seems much easier! is the one with the many threads supposed to be good for something in particular?

@distelfliege that seems like....too many threads. I know there's a bunch of different stitches? the one I've used (well, the one that was an actual "book binding stitch" instead me doing whatever) just had 2 ends, at the start and finish

I can get my head around wanting an email like that (just about), but why would you use that in a professional context?

this week in things I don't understand: when people sign up for professional sites with emails like "cailtynsmommy235@churchgroup.org"

(I really hope that isn't someone's actual email...)

@Nightingalle ok! I have 2 results: cable needle or darning needle
