@er1n 8ve + minor 3rd is impressive , I gently encourage you to feel proud of that? you could write a song called "minor 10th" that's entirely that interval in both hands

@amphetamine ah that sucks. I had a huge crush on my piano teacher, which really helped (she was so cool)

I've definitely gotten a lot better at sight reading since I stopped taking lessons haha. I also started just improvising on chords for songs I like, which made me more relaxed bc as long as it's ~approximately~ right it still sounds fine, even without doing fancy complicated stuff

but if you're looking for an instrument that's easy to play + impossible to be strict about, I suggest ukulele :P

I like listening to different people play the same piano piece and disagreeing with ALL the versions

usually because they aren't LOUD or FAST enough and feel too controlled. what's even the point of being able to play the piano if you aren't using it to release your screams????

on a related note, I went looking for some sheet music, and I found the original handwritten one, which first of all, why, and second of all can you imagine trying to play off this omg look at it
