The fact there is not a Pingu-themed Mastodon instance with a NOOT! button is proof we are not living in the Canon Timeline

I'm watching a pot of water boil....take THAT, folksy sayings

@gzt me too! also, separate fields for both things bc those are DIFFERENT things omg 😍

omg, they've actually thought it through

@Alterici yeah! it would slooooowly fall down, dragging the attached wires down along with it (and maybe, if I was lucky, also pull down the poles beside it??)

@Alterici most of the pettier crimes I wanted to do I've already done lol

@Alterici I want to chop a streetlight down like a tree

@Nightingalle I do like that one! I don't know many (any) Japanese songs, any recommendations?

@Nightingalle sure, when you're ready just send over the patterns you're thinking about 🙂

no worries - the song is "sista" by alice francis

@Nightingalle oh dear oh dear, gauge is so important for sweaters! I mean, unless you're willing to take apart half a sweater if it's wrong... plain stockinette sweaters can be really nice! with some muticoloured yarn, imo stockinette is what looks best. do you want help deciding on a pattern? I have lots of opinions haha

most of the music I listen to has female singers and is sort of jazz-ish? right now I'm pretty into alice francis - here's a song: youtube.com/watch?v=ZmDDV5s5BQ

@Nightingalle knitting and music is a great combination! there are a lot of good basic sweater patterns out there - personally I'm a big fan of raglans bc the construction is so easy

@Nightingalle thanks! I did for a while, but not for a few years. I like knitting a lot more, and the sorts of things I want to make are usually things that work out better with knitting.

are there any projects you're thinking of starting?

@Nightingalle I mostly make socks and lace shawls - atm I’m working on some socks: witches.town/media/WPVaqGCr6ZJ

@pixelpaperyarn ohhhh my goodness

they jump so HIGH

@Nightingalle aha! wonderful! are you working on anything atm?

@Nightingalle forest friends are very important 🌳

@abbycakes @amphetamine very good thought!

I have a book suggestion for you as well - raven's end, by ben gadd. it's about ravens, not crows (and the end is a little strange), but based entirely on this comment you might like it (actually, @Nightingalle you might like it too)
