on a related note I'm really thankful for the tool where you can choose the permissions visually bc I can never remember all the numbers

@MightyPork but yeah, it's really not a new idea, and when windows was all "we have this EXCITING NEW FEATURE" with windows 10!!11!" everyone I know was giving them a massive side-eye

@MightyPork linux has had workspaces for...I don't even know how long, but it's been aaages. I wouldn't say windows "copied" them bc if they did they might have turned out better haha

maybe I should take a break and figure out a stitch pattern for my socks instead

why are windows workspaces SO BAD. I've been using multiple workspaces on ubuntu for almost 10 years now and I can't believe how poorly these are implemented omg. you can't even move a window between workspaces without a mouse! I am deeply resentful any time I'm forced to use a mouse for tasks that shouldn't need it.

I'm going to dual boot with some flavour of linux, but I still need to move a bunch of harddrives around before I actually set that up, so until then I'm just going to be salty about windows.

I also still can't believe windows doesn't have tabbed file browsing. like...what?

my old laptop is still set up next to my desktop, and I keep trying to mouse over into it eugh. I wish I could mouse over into it then drag and drop files that way -_-

idk tho, maybe I'll look at geometry? I was always kinda sad I didn't take that class. any suggestions for approachable university-level geometry books? (I've done a bunch of calc but only high school geometry) #math

getting tentatively interested in math again now my rage has calmed down a bit. but how to approach it? I guess I could go through old course notes for everything I didn't learn properly the first time...
