@linen thanks for following:)
@Nightingalle forest friends are very important 🌳
@linen And knitting:)
I do both knitting and crochet:)
@Nightingalle aha! wonderful! are you working on anything atm?
@linen Alas no...but I'm eager to pick it up:) What about you?
I used to knit hats or scarves or vests, and crochet dolls and cup-mats and bags, etc:)
@Nightingalle I mostly make socks and lace shawls - atm I’m working on some socks: https://witches.town/media/WPVaqGCr6ZJBpJenvRg
@linen beautiful! I made socks, too but I like to work on longer projects, but they usually take too long for me...XD Do you crochet?
@Nightingalle thanks! I did for a while, but not for a few years. I like knitting a lot more, and the sorts of things I want to make are usually things that work out better with knitting.
are there any projects you're thinking of starting?
@linen A sweater, I suppose, a basic one:) I enjoy how knitting consumes my time, in a good way:) Usually with good music:)
@Nightingalle knitting and music is a great combination! there are a lot of good basic sweater patterns out there - personally I'm a big fan of raglans bc the construction is so easy
@linen oh yes! What kind of music do you prefer? (I like sharing music can't help it haha)
I searched for patterns and found a few that I like (also easy) I mean, I always try to include more diversity into the garment, but hey, stockinette all the way up just feels so nice hehe:)
Guess my problem is always about gauge...I always tend to ignore it...
@Nightingalle oh dear oh dear, gauge is so important for sweaters! I mean, unless you're willing to take apart half a sweater if it's wrong... plain stockinette sweaters can be really nice! with some muticoloured yarn, imo stockinette is what looks best. do you want help deciding on a pattern? I have lots of opinions haha
most of the music I listen to has female singers and is sort of jazz-ish? right now I'm pretty into alice francis - here's a song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmDDV5s5BQg
@Nightingalle sure, when you're ready just send over the patterns you're thinking about 🙂
no worries - the song is "sista" by alice francis
@Nightingalle I do like that one! I don't know many (any) Japanese songs, any recommendations?
@linen
maybe "嘘つき" by 藤原さくら?
Or "他人の関係" by 一青窈?
@linen wow this is nice, just went to listen:)
Maybe you'd like "1234" by Feist?
Personally I listen to lots of Japanese songs, some soothing some upbeating:) But also a great deal of English music across all genres:)
