@pzmyers I was reading commentary about how the authoritarians *should* love them, because they're mostly white, poor and working class, originated in flyover country, etc.
But the Juggalos are the "bad" poor. Uppity, disobedient, like having fun in unapproved ways, listen to black-coded music. Which lines them up with the Undeserving Poor to be dehumanized, rather than the Good Poor like R-voting rednecks.

The debate on gaming skill in games journalism annoys me, because so much writing about games seems to come from people who are functionally illiterate when it comes to basic design disciplines: narrative, visual, and interactive.
And then there's the ignorance about how games are made, and who does what on a game-production team.
