so my free time for last two months have been almost completely consumed by the double whammy of BoTW + persona 5. i can't remember the last time i cared this much about playing games
@viv it's really hard to say... like, I got way into Splatoon 1 and SM3DW in early Wii U days, but nothing like March's BotW binge where I barely even powered on my PC the whole month.
I think the times I've been this involved in playing games were the first 2D games I played on 8 and 16 bit consoles, especially SMB3, SMW, Sonic trilogy; the beginning of the 3D console era, playing and re-playing SM64 and NiGHTS and Zelda; the OrangeBox years, sorta catching up with the Half-Life 2 series and getting super into TF2 during its prime.
The common thread I see is "exposure to a new paradigm." But the new paradigm here, if anything, is just "really good gamez"?
