rappaport was also in the illuminatus! trilogy for stage and idk much about it at all but apparently it's very Weird and it looks interesting and i don't think there are any recordings of his performance which i'm sad about

@Shalena AAAAAAA nice!!! i'm too young to have seen the wizard when it was playing but i've seen a bit of it on youtube; there's a campaign to get it released for home viewing and i'm really hoping it is successful

david rappaport (who plays randall, the leader of the group in time bandits & my fave character) is one of my fave actors but he didnt get a lot of other notable roles and afaik a big factor was that he refused roles that he found demeaning (ie caricatures of ppl with dwarfism) and also roles that would require him to pilot animatronics or wear animal/alien suits (he was never in star wars, for example). he's not very well-known now and he died very young (suicide) and i'm sad about him a lot

time bandits is my special interest atm and it's funny how like... when i was a kid i didn't actually like it much because of how bleak it is but now i Love it and also learning about the cast has introduced me to other things relating to disability & theater (like, graeae theater and the work of nabil shaban)

@Blitzfrau ooh nice! i got my mom an oil burner as a gift ages ago but havent used it much myself.... i prefer cones over sticks bc i feel like sticks tend to smell more same-y than cones, which have more individual distinct scent
