@Sylvhem Because it was first called Bastille day and them "Fête nationale" in France?
And I think calling it « Prise de la Bastille » is still correct.

@lanodan_wtch But the 14 July doesn't directly celebrate the Bastille storming but the Federation Festival, which was choosen because it was a symbol of peace and national unity.
