Riddle 1: If a tree falls in a forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound?
Riddle 2: Which came first, the chicken or the [chicken] egg?
The Real Question:
Why are we taught that these are insoluble conundrums? They're only unsolvable because they depend on terms with ambiguous definitions.
Define the terms, and the answer is obvious.
Is a "sound" something you hear, or a vibration in the air?
Is a "chicken egg" something laid by a chicken, or that which hatches a chicken?
