@Eve yep. Basically this is a filter for self-advocacy rather than transness. And, like, kids who struggle to advocate for themselves need parents who are on side, not parents who keep the gates.

@lambdagrrl totally 1000% agree. I often wish I'd been smart and brave enough to tell my parents about myself as a kid. It's a struggle for sure and people need support not tests.
