i wonder if there's a way to explore like. toying with or creating the core mechanics and systems in a game design. but without actually needing to make the rest of the game, and also being within my cognitive abilities.
... ideally i could combine both of those interests but hooo boy that kind of concentration and deep thinking is way beyond me
i'm also interested in creating environments which might be best explored in a game's context (since that's what i'm used to thinking in). but my creativity is flat which makes things vague, and my attempts to convey it (mainly artistic skill) tend to be iffy at best.
