the more we learned about what's "needed" to "properly" compose game music, the less we felt that we were up to the task.
that, combined with general energy loss, means... no music
that was the case for our games, too.
but we're doing games again now, when head's clear enough.
so... hope?
@fae all our games are simple personal hobby projects, right now we're at the start of a puzzle platformer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjpHUrCYBDc
@fae ohhhh nooooo i didn't intend to, like, guilt people into teaming with me, if that's any factor into this.
but i'm happy at the offering!
if you want to make a thing, on your own or like more involved, i'd be happy to use it in this game project... with my own disclaimer that i have only a vague idea where it'd go from here.
@fae i'm notsure what you have in mind or if you want to show off your other works, or what kind of response or guidance or information you're looking for, but
i'm happy enough to just give you an excuse to Make Music, if that's something you want ^^
@fae i'll have to listen to your stuff after i get home in another five hours, but i can try to answer those guidance questions right now if you'd want that?
@fae i don't know how to handle myself in these situations, so i'm worried about being disrespectful or making assumptions.
the impression i get is that this is a two-way expectation of casually creating for the sake of enjoying creation?
@kitsch yes ^^ i'm interested in trying cause it sounds fun, if either of us ever wants to do a larger project with actual goals and expectations we can be more formal, but for now it's just i like indie games and want to see what happens if i nudge myself into a new musical style
