finally starting to tackle a book on chaos magick, "Condensed Chaos" by Phil Hine

🦄 I have a bad history with books on the occult, despite over a full year now of convincing experiences with the numinous; my training is that of a physical scientist, even my leisure reading tends towards things like analytical and organic chemistry articles, so the writing style of books on magick tends to put me off

like...I make no secret of the fact that I kinda identify with Jasper a bit, not so much as she is in the show but as she's been softened and further developed in the better stories about her

(my former partner identified with Lapis...no wonder we broke up)

like, there's this one story called "My Diamond" where post-hypothetical-redemption she adopts an NB kid that's just...wonderful

I wonder if I'd dare try to write a Jasper fic some day

and now I've got the outlines of some utterly toxic Jasper-Pearl relationship fiction, shimmering in my fevered brain

what the hell is WRONG with me

the idea of writing Steven Universe fanfic has always intimidated me far more than writing Undertale fanfic, because the Undertale characters are sketched in broad strokes with snippets of dialogue, whereas the SU characters have been established over solid dozens of hours

thinking of this in terms of "ships", heh, I can imagine Jasper drawing close to Amethyst, perhaps? if she could come to see her more as a fellow quartz-type.

Is there a tech-friendly way to make a wiki? I have too many characters doing their own things and living their lives and I want to be able to keep track of everything.
