I have a whole blog post in me about how there's a strain of pseudo-transhumanist techno-libertarianism that uses Ghost in the Shell-style fantasies about mind-body duality to either obliterate or dodge aspects of human identity that they find inconvenient. (For instance, these people will turn around and complain about the "difficulty" of nonbinary pronouns, or pathologize vast swaths of queerness if pressed on such issues.)

ok, predictably, there were technical difficulties; honestly I'm kind of surprised I was able to get _anything_ working with this new Linux installation. OBS is unstable enough on Windows; on Linux I'm going to have to watch it like a hawk. It forgot the microphone existed at one point
talked for a bit more than an hour, rambled a bit, but I got _some_ useful talk in there, I hope, about what I used to think magick meant, how I think it works now, and what "deity" means to me as well.
