Neighbour chef came down to make breks whilst I was waiting on my fritatta.

Sounds like he has a few late shifts thanks to sporting events. Served ≈400 in an hour last night!

Evidently he likes to annoy other chefs by using English instead of the "proper" French terms. His favourite is "English cream" (crème anglaise).

I told him I would just end up speaking French!
